Mystical baptism is one of the initiations on the path to the realization of God within. This is not a baptism into the Center of Light or any organization, but instead is the first step on the path toward universal Christ consciousness.
Those who want to have mystical baptism must complete a thorough retrospection process, conducted by the Center of Light’s spiritual teachers. In this process, you review your life and examine yourself carefully for areas where you need forgiveness or need to forgive, since these block the Christ Light from residing in you. This is a cleansing process, as John the Baptist said, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire” (Luke 3:16).
During baptism, the priest calls down the Christ to enter into the baptism candidate, igniting that fire within. This activates an awakening of the spiritual senses and starts to orient the candidate away from the ego, sense-driven perspective of the world and into the reality of God within.
