• Prayers for Peace •

The renowned Swiss psychiatrist Carl G. Jung declared that in order to truly change a condition of humankind, one must first change the collective consciousness of the people. When applied to the challenge of achieving world peace, this means that unless we change not only the hearts and minds of people all over the world, but also our very consciousness itself, we will not be able to sustain an enduring world peace. To change the collective consciousness, we must change both the conscious and unconscious ways we relate to and understand war and peace.

On the first Wednesday of every month, the members of all the Centers of Light pray for peace, creating a surge of positive energy for people all over the world. Open to all faiths, it is a chance for hearts and minds to make a real difference in the world. People pray for healing, spiritual awakening, love, solutions to hunger crises, war – anything that the world needs in order to become a place of peace.
